Teacher August 2020 Employment

IB MYP Coordinator

Dwight School Seoul seeks a highly experienced and knowledgeable IB Middle Years Coordinator to start by August 2020. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in organizing and managing all aspects of the IB Middle Years Programme and has a solid understanding of the programme in order to provide staff, students and parents with comprehensive information regarding the IB MYP, its philosophy, aims and requirements. Dean of Teaching and Learning

Dwight School Seoul seeks a Whole School Dean of Teaching and Learning to start by August 2020.  The ideal candidate is highly experienced having worked in a medium to large international IB World School.  The ideal candidate has held a previous management or leadership post, is organized, technology and computer literate, collaborative and familiar with the International Baccalaureate PYP, MYP and DP programmes.  Specific knowledge and experience working with a pre-K to grade 12 international curriculum with up to date credentials at the graduate level are all desired. Dean of Technology, Creativity and Innovation

Dwight School Seoul seeks a Whole School Dean of Technology, Creativity and Innovation to start by August 2020. The ideal candidate is highly experienced having worked in a medium to large international IB World School.  The ideal candidate as the IT Integration Specialist Dean has a previous management or leadership post in developing and implementing Dwight School Seoul’s vision for technology and innovation of whole school and is familiar with the International Baccalaureate PYP, MYP and DP programmes. Dean of Student Life

Dwight School Seoul seeks a Whole School Dean of Student Life to start by August 2020. The ideal candidate is highly experienced having worked in a medium to large international IB World School.  The ideal candidate as the Dean of Student Life has a previous management or leadership post in championing the School’s strategic goals and supervising the implementation of the strategic goals. The ideal candidate is able to manage the plan for the whole school advisory curriculum and lead in the development, administration and communication to students, staff and parents of policies and procedures regarding expected student behavior.

Learning Support (SENCO)

Due to expansion and growth, the Dwight School Seoul seeks a full time, qualified and internationally experienced EAL / SENCO to join a rich and diverse Learning Support team at Dwight.  The role of the EAL/SENCO is primarily to facilitate student learning between students enrolled in our Quest (Learning Support) department that links to PYP, MYP and DP classes where EAL instruction must be differentiated and communicated back and forth between the department, class teachers and parents.  Opportunity exists where the ideal candidate will rise to a position of accountability by providing professional development workshops to parents and faculty both within the school and abroad.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, certified in EAL in the mainstream (or equivalent), has working knowledge (with experience) working within the confines of the IB language phases, is a positive and collaborative individual who is able to grow beyond the department by getting involved whole school.  If interested, please submit a copy of your resume with brief cover letter to hr@dwight.or.kr.  Interviews are ongoing. 

ECP Assistant

PYP Coordinator

Dwight School Seoul seeks an experienced and highly qualified Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator to join a dynamic IB World School.  The ideal candidate comes with knowledge and understanding of elementary education and ideally holds an academic qualification in elementary education at a masters or doctorate level.  The PYP Coordinator is knowledgeable and experienced in creating, managing and delivering on strategic goals.  The PYP Coordinator is a member of the IB Academic Team and supports the Lower School Principal.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, fluent in oral and written English language, is a team player, works collaboratively within an inclusive schools model.  If interested, please contact hr@dwight.or.kr to obtain a copy of the job description.  Please submit an up to date resume alongside a cover letter with PYP Coordinator written into the subject line of an email.  Interviews will ongoing and a best fit invited to interview ahead of January 30th 2020.

 

Head of Department Design Teacher

Dwight School Seoul seeks a Technology and Design teacher and Head of Department for August 2020.  The ideal candidate has working knowledge of MYP and DP design and computer science.  The ideal candidate is fluent in English language written and oral communication.  The ideal candidate has an interest in guiding technology whole school and carries some PYP background or experience having worked in an IB Continuum School.  The Ideal candidate has a background in coding or computer science and is knowledgeable about linking design to makerspace philosophies where electronics, robotics and STEM converge.  Finally, the ideal candidate is an experienced middle school educator with a knowledge of 21st century learning and ability to 'ignite the spark of genius in every child' through design.  If interested, please email hr@dwight.or.kr.  Interviews are ongoing.

Early Childhood Division Manager and Teacher

The Dwight School Seoul seeks a PYP educated Early Childhood teacher and manager.  Ideal candidate has working experience working with children ages 3, 4 and 5 years old.  Ideal candidate is organized, fluent in English language (both written and oral) and comes with previous working experience having worked in Korea or Asia.  Ideal candidate is knowledgeable about educational needs for this age group and can deliver on outcomes through goal setting at a managerial level that encompasses the whole child in terms of learning outcomes, nature education, play based education and specialty classes.  If interested, please submit your resume and cover letter to hr@dwight.or.kr.  Interviews are ongoing. 

Athletics Director and PE Teacher

University College Counselor

Dwight School Seoul seeks a full time University College Counselor.  Ideal candidate has worked previously in Asia, knows and has working knowledge and experience supporting students coming from a diverse range of backgrounds in an IB World School.  Ideal candidate has worked in an international school and has a background supporting IB Diploma applicants to top end universities in the USA, Europe, and Asia.  Ideal candidate has a masters degree and is fluent in English.  Working knowledge of Korean or having worked with Asian students is an advantage.  Ideal candidate is trained in MAIA, Morrisby, and is willing to operate as the lead at Dwight at a SAT testing center, offers career advice to students and families grades 6-8, and is capable of delivering workshops and lead college counseling conferences at Dwight making use of partner schools.  Ideal candidate is collaborative and willing to lead by example.  If interested, please forward your resume and cover letter to hr@dwight.or.kr.  Interviews will be ongoing. 

 

Whole School Arts Head of Department with (Visual Art, Music or Drama)
