Requesting Bus Transportation
Prior to the student using the school bus, a Bus Application must be submitted and approved by the Bus Coordinator located on the 1st floor of the school. In the case there is no seat available on the requested bus, the Bus Coordinator will recommend alternative routes. In the case no route is available, the student will be placed on a waiting list based on the application submission date.
Request for Bus Stop Change
Every effort has been made to designate bus stops in areas where the greatest concentrations of Dwight families live. If the student’s address will change, parents are advised to notify the Bus Coordinator in writing two weeks prior to the need for a new pick-up site. Dwight School Seoul cannot guarantee that a seat will be available on the new bus route.
Students must be at designated bus stops on time. In order to maintain the busing schedule and reduce transportation times, bus drivers will not wait longer than 1 minute at any given bus stop. If a student misses the bus, parents will be responsible for arranging transportation to school that day. Please notify the Bus Coordinator in advance if the student will not ride the bus.
Students should proceed directly to the playground area upon exiting the bus at the school. In the event of inclement weather, students will be directed by teachers to an indoor area until classes begin.
School buses will leave school promptly at 15:30. On days when students participate in extra curricular activities, buses will leave promptly at 16:45. In the event that a student misses the afternoon bus, parents are responsible for the payment of taxi fare for transportation home. The taxi service will be selected by the Bus Coordinator.
School Bus Stop Change Form
For security purposes, Dwight School Seoul does not allow students to ride on different buses.
In special circumstances, students may request to ride a different bus. In these instances, a “School Bus Stop Change Form”, signed by both the Bus Coordinator and parent/guardian, will be required.
Please note that approval of student bus transfer requests will depend on seat availability.
- Bring a signed form to the Bus Coordinator’s office (room #113) by 13:00 of the day the bus transfer is required.
- The Bus Coordinator will approve/disapprove the request based on seat availability.
- If the request is approved, the Bus Coordinator will sign the form and give a Bus Stop Change Form to the student. The student must hand in the Form to the Bus Monitor (Mon, Fri only) or the Bus Driver (Tue to Thu).

Sometimes students who do not normally use the school bus service may want to ride it for exceptional occasions. In these circumstances, parents may purchase a single bus pass which will allow the student to use the bus service for a one time, one-way journey.
