Alie Yu, Grade 12, has been named a Finalist in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.
From the 1.6 million students who took the PSAT test, she represents one of 15,000 students chosen to become a Finalist.
By being selected as a Finalist, Alie will be considered for National Merit Scholarships offered in 2017. The selection of some 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of more than 15,000 Finalist is now in progress. This is an incredible achievement by an outstanding student.
In October, Alie was named a Semifinalist of the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and includes the highest-scoring entrants of each state.
Confidential notices will be sent out to winners in the next few months.
