International Music Festival - Souls in Harmony
MaKenzie Doyle

Dwight School Seoul is proud to present the International Music Festival, Souls in Harmony, on Monday, March 21st, 2022 at Lotte Concert Hall.

Stevie Wonder says it best in his song, Sir Duke:

“Music is a world within itself
With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity
For all to sing, dance and clap their hands”

Music has a powerful way of creating community and unity across cultures, and is accessible for all to experience and enjoy. It is the backbone to most cultures, bringing people together and forming bonds in ways that might not otherwise exist. Music promotes diversity, creative thinking, discipline, leadership, and vulnerability. Music provides a unique opportunity for groups of people to express emotion together. The Souls in Harmony music festival provides our local and global network of students with this opportunity to connect and express ourselves in celebration of unity, peace and harmony.

Now, more than ever, the importance of expression and unity the Arts provide is necessary for our communities. For many of our students, this will be their first time back on stage in front of a live audience in years. For some, it will be their first big performance ever! And for our seniors, it will be their last performance in the Dwight School Seoul Ensembles before graduating and continuing their musical journeys elsewhere. But for all, it will be a memorable experience that will enrich their musical journeys remarkably.

We welcome you to join us in our musical celebration on Monday, March 21st at the beautiful Lotte Concert Hall. We have a diverse range of selections reflecting on the importance of community and unity through harmony. Our performers come to you from Dwight School Seoul, our Global Dwight Network, Yongsan International School of Seoul, and our local community of parents, staff, friends, and family. We look forward to seeing you there and hope you enjoy the performances!
